Boris Sabatti, Director of the Istrian Development Agency (IDA), expressed his satisfaction with the center's success so far, noting that all offices are currently fully occupied.

In an interview for our portal, Sabatti emphasized that the center is fulfilling its mission of facilitating young entrepreneurs' entry into the business world.

"Based on current indicators, we are very satisfied. The building is truly full and bustling with activities. If we continue at this pace, I am sure the investment will be 100% worthwhile. All the offices are full, and the goal was to create a space where young entrepreneurs can start their business journey in a collaborative environment," Sabatti said.

Sabatti also commented on the growing trend of working in communities like coworking spaces, which is becoming increasingly popular in Croatia as well.

Coworking spaces provide flexible conditions for entrepreneurs, creating an environment that encourages collaboration and the exchange of ideas, greatly facilitating business startups, especially for young people.

Speaking about the work of the Istrian Development Agency, Sabatti highlighted that the agency has so far completed around 60 projects, while six projects are currently active, with a total value of 10 million euros. This agency has been successfully promoting and supporting entrepreneurship development in Istria for years, and its dedication is recognized at both the national and European levels.

This year, IDA won the national award for entrepreneurship promotion and is currently nominated for a European award in the same category.

"I think it’s a very nice award; we are national winners. We received the award as an agency and as Istria County for promoting and developing entrepreneurship. We are heading to Budapest for the European finals, which is a serious event organized by the European Commission. We'll see what happens, but this is already a big deal to be nominated in such serious competition," Sabatti said.

IDA in the Final for the Best County Project

In addition to these achievements, IDA has also reached the finals of the competition for the best county project, with the winner to be announced at the beginning of December.

This nomination further confirms the importance and quality of the work of the Istrian Development Agency in the development of entrepreneurship and the local community.

One year since the opening of the Coworking Pula Entrepreneurial Center has shown that this project is indeed necessary and can significantly contribute to the entrepreneurial climate in the region, providing support to young people just entering the business world.
